Endodontic Treatment at Santa Clara Endodontics

What Is Endodontic Treatment?

Endodontic treatment (also called endodontic therapy or root canal therapy) is done to remove infected pulp from a tooth to prevent infection. It often means the difference between a patient being able to save their tooth and needing it to be removed.

Protecting Your Overall Health

Endodontic treatment focuses on saving your teeth. Dr. Photopoulos always recommends that, if possible, we save a patient’s tooth rather than removing it and replacing it with an implant. Root canals tend to be less costly than implants and have different risks involved, however, in certain cases an implant will be an ideal option and Dr. Photopoulos will inform you if that is the case.
