Dr. Anastasios S. Photopoulos, DDS, MMSc
Endodontist
Dr. Anastasios S. Photopoulos was born and raised in Saratoga and graduated locally from Archbishop Mitty High School. He completed an advanced specialty training in Endodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he received his Masters in Oral Biology. Prior to heading East to attend Harvard University, Dr. Photopoulos completed his Dental Degree at the University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco with honors as a member of Tau Kappa Omega dental society. At Harvard, Dr. Photopoulos was trained to provide the highest care in all disciplines of Endodontics including trauma, pediatric, regenerative, and emergency care. He did his research on the use of CBCT in Endodontics and currently offers continuing education to doctors that would like to learn more about diagnosis and use of CBCT in their practice. He has extensive knowledge of anesthesia to provide comfortable care to his patients and strives to provide them with the most current Endodontic treatment procedures. Dr. Photopoulos grew up in a dental family, his father is a general dentist and his sister is a dental hygienist. He practiced as a general dentist alongside his father in San Jose and Santa Clara for four years prior to specializing in Endodontics. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, The Santa Clara Dental Society, The California Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists and a candidate to become a diplomat of the American Board of Endodontics.
As a new dad, Dr.Photopoulos enjoys spending time with his 2 year old daughter and wife. He also enjoys watching football, playing golf and hiking with his german shepherd mix.
