About Our Practice
Santa Clara Endodontics is firmly committed to providing leading-edge dental treatment in a safe and compassionate atmosphere. Our goal is to make your visit as convenient, stress-free and comfortable as possible. We know that you lead a busy life, so we’ll do everything we can to keep your appointment on time allowing you to get back to your work and home activities.
Our practice was the first endodontics office in the city of Santa Clara. The practice was established in 1956 by Dr. Ron Nicholson. Dr. Nicholson was a graduate of UCSF, he spent three days in practice while spending the rest of his time as part-time faculty at UCSF. Dr. James Jespersen joined the practice in 1977 after graduating from the University of Illinois. After one year of being an associate, in 1978, Dr. Jespersen bought the practice from Dr. Nicholson. Dr. Jespersen practiced for the next 36 years as a solo practitioner before Dr. Anastasios Photopoulos joined the practice in 2014. Dr. Photopoulos was a general dentist prior to completing a 3-year masters research fellowship at Harvard University in Endodontics. Dr. Photopoulos worked as an associate with Dr. Jespersen until the end of 2018. In December 2018 Dr. Photopoulos purchased the practice from Dr. Jespersen while both remain practicing in the office. Our Endodontics practice in Santa Clara has a great history of treating our patients with compassion and excellent care.
